Meet the Development Director!

The SMD Church Development Department is excited to introduce the new Development Director, Greg Perkins! Greg Perkins and his wife, Di Ann have a passion for the body of Christ and have a deep desire to see healthy, vibrant churches in the Southern Missouri District. The Perkins’ are also lead pastors of First Family Church in Osage Beach, MO, where they have served since January of 2015. They have spent over 25 years in full-time church ministry in Southern Missouri and Kansas.

“As Church Development Director for our district, my goal for this Department is to establish partnerships with other organizations, districts, pastors and churches of all sizes, stages of maturity, and life-cycles in order to offer both Preventive AND Proactive Health Services to our churches.  We will seek to develop strategies, gather materials, and provide training to help pastors navigate the growth and leadership challenges that consistently face the Church.

By utilizing the developing resource of the SMD Coaching Network, we will seek to leverage the wisdom and experience of fellow pastors to provide mentoring and model best-practices for church leaders.  The connections created and tools made available will build and equip the Body of Christ to experience long-term health and effectiveness in the communities across Southern Missouri.
